📊 The Role & Responsibilities
As the incoming CEO, you will take full strategic lead of the businesses, carrying ultimate executive and regulatory responsibility.
- Regulatory Oversight: This role carries the regulatory responsibility of SMF1 (Chief Executive function).
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a long-term commercial strategy to scale both the niche insurer and the brokerage arms over the next 5+ years.
- Governance: Maintain a robust regulatory framework, ensuring absolute alignment with modern compliance standards.
🎯 Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a proven insurance leader who has operated successfully at board level.
- Regulatory Status: Must be an SMF approved person (or meet the immediate criteria for SMF1 approval).
- Market Expertise: Deep experience in consumer products, ideally operating via Managing General Agents (MGAs).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong background in delegated authority arrangements, underwriting, claims processes, and product launch lifecycles.
- Compliance Foundations: In-depth appreciation of PRA Solvency II rules and a strong working knowledge of Consumer Duty requirements.
